@Thomas I wanted to work at Dunkin Donuts when I was a kid. Time to make the donuts!

@KrissyKat The hooligans!

@Zumbador Nobody is perfect. I actually think Matt Mercer and BLM call for too many rolls over all (I know a bunch of the time they're stalling for time, but still).

@Zumbador I think the long gaps in filming didn't help. It was only 2-3 weeks for me, and I couldn't remember the specifics either, so what Whitney was trying to do sort of made sense to me. Apparently, she admitted during the cooldown that she needs to take better notes and was going to ask Marisha for help!

@Zumbador it was funny as hell though.

@Zumbador can't be vague with newer players!

The Badger football team is AP ranked again (at 25). Is this what hope feels like? If they keep playing like this and beat Iowa, they should end the season 10-2, with both losses coming to top 10 teams.

@krypto he's surprisingly popular with the elementary school set since the biopic came out last year and the soundtrack was all over social media. At least the Thriller-era Michael Jackson.

You can watch the entirety of Alma, which is just over 5 minutes long, on YouTube. It's a Spanish film set in Barcelona, but there is no dialog. Some of the YT comments are hilarious, especially all the people saying they can't believe their teachers showed them this in elementary school!

Decided to go on a fucked up animation spree by watching The Wolf House (2018, d. Cristobal León & Joaquín Cociña), Perfect Blue (1997, d. Satoshi Kon), and the short film Alma (2009, d. Rodrigo Blaas). The Wolf House, with its surreal mix of 2D and 3D stop motion, looked cool, but much of it was lost on me since I was unfamiliar with Colonia Dignidad until afterwards. Perfect Blue was a near perfect mindfuck, and Alma filled me with existential dread!

I’m at my youngest’s school Halloween dance, and there are multiple Thriller-era Michael Jacksons walking around.

@luxet I don’t remember if we had to pay for that when I was in high school, but that was over 30 years ago!

@wgahnagl I’m glad so found street parking, as this is an ass whooping.

@campbell have you seen it before?

@wgahnagl my daughter wanted to go to the WIAA playoff game tonight, which was downtown, so I took her. Didn’t want to drive back and forth, so I went to the game instead and am sitting with the team parents.

@pteryx @SJohnRoss that is true, and it may just be because my daughter goes to a parochial high school.

@SJohnRoss TBF, my daughter's school rents the field from the city's parks department, so at least football make sense. But the on campus soccer game I went to last week? Please!

Having to pay to attend high school sports is so weird to me.

@Thomas it's really a spectrum of cringe, but such is most human endeavours.

@Thomas yes, at least a little bit (and I say this as a practicing Catholic).
