Another photo from the lead mine. This flooded passage is the man-made part - waist deep with icy water and with a ceiling you need to crouch under of you're in a boat.

One thing I noticed in the caves today:
When going down the stairs with a low uneven ceiling, I had to duck my head or curl my body down to not bang my head. This meant that I was naturally looking mostly at my feet, and lost most of my awareness of my surroundings or what was ahead of me.
Definite implications for dungeoneering!
I could crane my neck up to see ahead more but that was an unusual and tiring use of my muscles.
Going up was less of a problem.
@ng76 Do you know any dungeons / adventures that involve maps that come bit closer to real cave layouts?
I know you're not the author of the original post, but I've got the impression from following you on Mastodon that you have quite a wide and deep knowledge of RPGs.
(Interested in everyone's replies though!)
@ng76 Had a tour of some old lead mines today. Here's the photos where they intersect with a vertical natural cavern. Left photo: looking up. Right photo: looking down.
